Emma works in our Prevention Education team. She came to GEAAP as a volunteer in 2023 and, after two years voluntary experience, she moved into full time employment in the Prevention & Education team. She works with Primary 6 & 7 pupils in schools across the East of Glasgow, delivering our Young Booze Busters school program.
Emma supports young people and helps them build self-esteem and self-awareness, teaches emotional intelligence and resilience skills and helps them become more aware of opportunities for alternative and healthier life choices. She describes her job as a fun way of learning, teaching the kids important life skills but also having fun whilst doing so. As a mum of two young children, working with kids comes naturally to her and she thoroughly enjoys it.
