Jean started her journey as a book-keeper when she was 15 years of age, working in the private sector where she learnt all aspects of book-keeping, from income and expenditure accounts, petty cash, wages and much more. She moved on to work in the voluntary sector, first in a pre-five family centre and then at Easterhouse Women’s centre where she gained lots of experience from completing grant applications to end of project evaluations & reporting.
She came to GEAAP as our book-keeper in February 2006 and is responsible for all aspects of financial management including payment of all invoices, bank reconciliation, reporting of project spend to our many funders and the preparation of our accounts for the yearly audit. She says she has enjoyed the experience of working at GEAAP as every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
